Hadn't visited the Boathouse Cafe for a while, I know now what I was missing. A fabulous traditional riverside Cafe with great food at a reason price. They have a wonderful memory wall for customers who are no longer with us. Tony the owner is a wonderful traditional British character, friendly, helpful pleasant and very professional.

We are regulars at Tony's cafe now, been coming a while. Love a nice cold drink and sometimes a sneaky piece of cake after our walks. Always met with a friendly smile and chat from Tony and staff.

Such a lovely place that's run by lovely people!!! What can I say Tony is probably the most welcoming person I've met for a long time. He has a back in the day manner about him and instantly makes you feel welcome as soon as you step foot in the door. The cafe has some very beautiful views, with indoor and outdoor seating to pick from. The cafe itself has such a cosy feel to it, almost warm and filled with so many sentimental items. The food was great and you can actually get a decent cup of tea here unlike so many cafes. Will deffinately be visiting again.

Beeston born and bred, but never been to this fabulous super friendly and family feel cafe. Budget is good for someone with a small income and the prices are fair but the food is on point, and I have to admit I wanted to pay for two breakfasts just for myself. Freshly cooked and toast was amazing, not hard or cold but warm, soft and exquisite. Have to admit the owner Tony is warm, professional and above & beyond. Customer Service second to none and I hate to say this I cannot find a fault with anything except I want more menu choice - BIGGER BREAKFAST PLEASE.

First time down at the Boathouse! Greeted by a lovely host who turned out to be the Owner! Very friendly staff who are always around to help, followed by a quick turn around in food being prepared. When the food did reach our cutlery, it was a classic taste of a home cooked all day breakfast, couldn’t ask for more! The cafe is filled with memorabilia, books, local information and lots of causes being done for charity! The cafe lays on the edge of the river, looking over into the surrounding countryside and surrounding wildlife! Will definitely be back again soon on a warm summers afternoon! Thanks x

It Tony's. Lovely, friendly, passionate chap with a good team of helpers. Post parkrun it's vibrant with Lovely park runners. Lots of seating in and out. Lovely on a sunny day. Tea is good, and have a choice of small or big, which I like. There is a good choice of breakfast's or can have cake instead! Lots of folk were ordering the bacon butties, I went for the sausage butty which was dissapointing because of the low grade sausage made it tasteless. At £4.70 for a large tea and butty I'd happily pay more for better quality. Toilets are available inside, and dogs are welcome. It's a fab location and everyone is really friendly. I'll be back at some point for a tea or coffee. Unless the quality of the sausages improves I'll pick something else, maybe.
